Historically, resolving these paperwork hurdles involved either navigating opaque government portals without guidance or paying extortionate fees to touts and middlemen outside sub-registrar and court complexes. Docketry was built to provide a calm, competent, and accessible digital alternative—acting like an experienced administrative clerk who provides the correct statutory format instantly.
Core Principle: Docketry is 100% free, requires no account registration, and stores zero personal data. All document processing runs entirely inside your device's browser memory.
What Docketry Is (And What It Is Not)
To avoid misunderstandings, it is vital to understand our scope and operating boundaries:
- What Docketry IS: A self-help drafting utility, statutory calculator, and procedural checklist directory. It helps ordinary citizens format their own papers accurately per statutory norms (such as the RTI Act 2005, NI Act 1881, and Consumer Protection Act 2019).
- What Docketry IS NOT: Docketry is not a law firm. We do not provide personalized legal counsel, we do not represent litigants in courts of law, and we are not a lead-generation directory for commercial lawyers.
Privacy-by-Design Architecture
Unlike conventional SaaS platforms that upload your sensitive personal records (names, addresses, financial claims, family succession details) to centralized cloud databases, Docketry operates on a strict zero-knowledge, client-side execution model:
- All templates, calculation formulas, and formatting scripts are executed entirely by JavaScript running locally in your browser.
- When you click "Generate Draft" or "Calculate", your inputs never leave your device. Nothing is saved to our servers, and closing your tab completely erases all entered state.
- You can audit this anytime: disconnect your internet after loading any tool page, and the generator will continue working offline without interruption.
How the Platform is Sustained
Docketry operates without subscription paywalls, login gates, or fee-per-download traps. The hosting and maintenance of our static infrastructure are sustained exclusively through two transparent channels:
- Voluntary User Contributions: Users who successfully generate their draft and save significant time or money often choose to make a small voluntary contribution to keep the platform free for the next person.
- Non-Intrusive Display Ads: Modest banner advertising placed strictly outside task interaction zones to ensure advertisements never interfere with drafting forms or copy buttons.
