Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 2026Plain-Language Summary (Read in 30 Seconds)
- Zero Document Storage: We do not store or transmit your drafted legal documents, party names, addresses, or financial details on any remote server. Everything executes locally in your browser memory.
- No User Accounts: You do not need to register, provide your email, or create an account to use any of our 20 legal tools.
- Encrypted Donation Gateway: Voluntary contributions are processed entirely via a secure, PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processor. Docketry never sees or stores card numbers or UPI PINs.
- Third-Party Display Ads: We display non-intrusive banner ads (via Adsterra/AdSense) placed strictly outside tool drafting areas to keep the site free. Ad networks may use standard cookies for performance.
1. Zero-Knowledge Client-Side Drafting
Docketry operates on a strict privacy-by-design model. When you use any generator, calculator, or checklist on docketry.co.in, your input data stays within your local device's random access memory (RAM).
Unlike conventional document services, our server infrastructure does not receive, log, or database your legal text, tenant names, cheque numbers, claim amounts, or RTI queries. When you close or refresh your browser tab, your input data is permanently and irreversibly cleared from memory.
2. Information We Collect
Because of our client-side architecture, we do not collect personal document data. The only data interactions that occur are:
- Contact Form Communications: If you voluntarily reach out via our contact page, your name, email, and message are transmitted via FormSubmit to our administrative inbox solely to respond to your inquiry.
- Technical Logs: Standard web hosting logs (IP addresses, user-agent strings, referring pages) generated by Cloudflare Pages to maintain platform security, prevent DDoS attacks, and ensure uptime.
3. Cookies and Advertising Partners
Docketry is sustained by display advertising rather than subscription paywalls or user tracking. We partner with reputable advertising networks (including Adsterra and Google) to serve non-intrusive advertisements:
- Ad networks may deploy standard browser cookies or web beacons to serve advertisements based on prior visits or general geographic location.
- Advertisements are strictly segregated into fixed-size containers outside form work areas and never overlay your drafting process.
- Users can disable or manage cookie preferences at any time via browser settings or through the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt-out tool.
4. Voluntary Contributions & Payment Security
Users who choose to make a voluntary contribution to support Docketry's hosting costs are redirected to an external, encrypted, PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateway.
Docketry does not process, handle, or store debit/credit card credentials, net banking passwords, or UPI credentials. All financial processing is governed strictly by the third-party processor's security infrastructure and privacy terms.
5. Compliance with DPDP Act, 2023
Docketry is structured to satisfy the requirements of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act):
- Purpose Limitation: We do not collect personal data beyond what you voluntarily transmit through the contact form.
- Right to Correction & Erasure: Because we do not store legal drafts or user accounts, there is no user data stored on our servers to erase. For contact email records, you may email us to request deletion.
6. Data Grievance Redressal
For questions, concerns, or deletion requests regarding communications sent to Docketry, you may contact our designated Grievance Officer:
